Steps for proper installation of planetary gearbox

First, before installation, confirm whether the motor and gearbox are intact, and strictly check whether the dimensions of the parts connecting the motor and the gearbox match. Here are the dimensions and fitting tolerances of the positioning boss of the motor, the input shaft and the groove of the gearbox.

Second, unscrew the screw on the dust-proof hole on the outside of the gearbox flange, adjust the PCS system clamping ring to align the side hole with the dust-proof hole, insert the inner hexagon and tighten it.

Installation step three: Hold the drive motor so that the keyway on the shaft is aligned with the input hole of the gearbox and insert the drive motor shaft into the input hole of the gearbox. When inserting, make sure that the two are concentric and parallel to the flanges on both sides. If the concentricity is different or the flanges on both sides are not parallel, the reason must be found out. In addition, hammering is strictly prohibited during installation. This can prevent the excessive axial force or radial force of the hammer from damaging the two bearings, and also determine whether the cooperation between the two is suitable through the installation feel. The way to distinguish the concentricity of the two and the parallelism of the flanges is: after the two penetrate each other, the flanges of the two are basically close to each other and the gaps are the same.

In addition, during installation, it is strictly forbidden to hit with a hammer to prevent excessive axial or radial force from damaging the bearings or gears. Be sure to tighten the mounting bolts before tightening the force bolts. Before installation, wipe the anti-rust oil on the motor input shaft, positioning boss and gearbox connection parts with gasoline or zinc-sodium water. Its purpose is to ensure the tightness of the connection and the flexibility of operation, and to prevent unnecessary wear and tear. Before connecting the motor to the gearbox, please make the keyway of the motor shaft vertical to the tightening bolt. To ensure uniform force, please screw on the mounting bolts at any diagonal position first, but do not tighten them, and then screw on the other two diagonally positioned mounting bolts. Finally, tighten the force bolt. All tightening bolts need to be fixed and inspected with a torque wrench according to the indicated fixed torque data.
