How to prevent stainless steel rollers from rusting

The stainless steel roller is made of stainless steel. Its anti-corrosion and wear resistance make it widely used in many industries. However, under certain conditions, stainless steel rollers are not completely rust-free. If stainless steel rollers are stored in harsh environments such as moisture, acid and alkali for a long time, they may also rust. Apply anti-rust oil

The rust resistance of stainless steel rollers comes from the oxide film on their surfaces. If this oxide film is damaged, moisture in the air will corrode stainless steel. Therefore, the river acts as a barrier to prevent moisture from contacting the stainless steel for extended periods of time. Coating stainless steel rollers with anti-rust oil before use can extend their service life.

In order to reduce the wear and tear on the surface of the stainless steel roller, which leads to rust, chromium plating on the surface of the stainless steel roller is a very reasonable method. While improving the hardness and rust resistance of the stainless steel roller surface, the chromium layer can also increase the surface aesthetics of the stainless steel roller.

Store properly

When storing stainless steel rollers, care should be taken that the environment is dry and not humid to prevent corrosion. During the transportation of stainless steel rollers, packaging with good moisture resistance should be selected to protect the stainless steel rollers to prevent the stainless steel rollers from coming into contact with moisture and causing rust.

Pickling and passivation treatment

Through pickling treatment, the oil stains, oxidation spots and corrosion on the surface of the stainless steel roller are removed. Passivation treatment can form a protective film on the surface of the stainless steel roller, thereby greatly improving its corrosion resistance.

Although stainless steel rollers have stronger corrosion resistance than ordinary steel rollers, they will corrode or be damaged if exposed to harsh environments. Therefore, stainless steel rollers should be regularly maintained to prevent rust and extend their service life. If the corrosion resistance requirements of stainless steel rollers are high, higher grade stainless steel can be used as the raw material of the rollers.
