What surface coating technologies are available for rollers?

Facing the different needs of different industries, rollers also need to be coated accordingly to improve or compensate for the related performance of the rollers. So what surface coating technologies are available for rollers?

1. Coating treatment. The coating treatment of the drum includes galvanizing, chromium plating, nickel plating, etc. The same coating treatment can improve the hardness, anti-corrosion, oxidation resistance, and wear resistance of the drum surface. It should be noted that the thickness of these coatings will also affect the performance of the roller.

2. Teflon coating. Due to the characteristics of Teflon, the rollers treated with Teflon coating have good high temperature resistance and anti-sticking properties. Such rollers gain easy cleaning and can be widely used in the medical food industry.

3. Spray paint. Painting the surface of the roller can give the roller a certain aesthetic appearance. At the same time, this surface layer can also have a certain effect on slowing down the oxidation rate of the roller surface.

4. Tungsten carbide treatment. Through high-temperature plasma spraying technology, a hard tungsten carbide layer is formed on the surface of the roller. This coating has excellent wear resistance, high temperature resistance, and corrosion resistance. Therefore, tungsten carbide rollers are also widely used in various machinery manufacturing, aerospace, automotive industry and other fields.

5. Ceramic coating. The ceramic coating has excellent properties such as high hardness, wear resistance, and chemical stability, and provides an impenetrable protective layer for the drum to protect it from corrosion and oxidation. Since the ceramic coating also has high temperature resistance, ceramic rollers can be used under high temperature conditions.

6. Hard oxidation. The hard oxide film usually acts to enhance the surface hardness, wear resistance and other properties of the drum, thereby extending the service life of the drum. At the same time, it also has the function of changing the color of the surface of the roller and improving the aesthetics of the roller.
